Alte Post Clock Tower From Neuer Wall

HAMBURG, GERMANY · 05 Sep 2026 · TWELVE SECONDS
Pedestrians walk on wet paving along Neuer Wall past a Bulgari storefront and a digital advertising column that changes image, while the brick clock tower of the Alte Post rises beyond the buildings ahead. The Alte Post was completed in 1847 to plans by Alexis de Chateauneuf, built after the Great Fire of 1842 to bring several of the city's postal administrations into one house. Between 1968 and 1971 the interior was gutted behind the retained facade and its four storeys were rebuilt as six.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
