Marathon Runners at the Brandenburg Gate
BERLIN, GERMANY · 27 Sep 2026 · TWELVE SECONDS
Runners wearing race bibs move west across Pariser Platz toward the Brandenburg Gate, passing between blue crowd barriers where spectators watch and film. The gate was built from 1788 to 1791 to designs by royal architect Carl Gotthard Langhans, and the bronze quadriga on top is by sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow. The BMW Berlin-Marathon 2026 was held on this date, with a course that finishes by crossing through the gate.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
