Nine months was all it took to build this one, in 1949–50, following the forms of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke it replaced and taking Karl Liebknecht's name instead. The pale front across the water is the Humboldt Forum's east side, the one face Franco Stella designed new rather than rebuilt.

The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
