Rowing Boats on the Canal, Plaza de España
SEVILLE, SPAIN · 13 Jan 2023 · TWELVE SECONDS
Four small rowing boats carry people along the canal, with one of the plaza's brick towers and the curved gallery behind them. The Plaza de España was designed by architect Aníbal González and built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition. The semicircular building is reached by four bridges over the canal, which represent the ancient kingdoms of Spain. Tiled alcoves set along the canal wall each represent a Spanish province.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
