ASHGABAT, TURKMENISTAN · 31 Aug 2026 · TWELVE SECONDS

A twelve-storey white marble-clad apartment tower stands behind a paved parking area where a silver sedan is parked and two people stand talking near other parked cars. Conifers, willow branches and low shrubs fill the foreground. Ashgabat holds a Guinness World Record, awarded in 2013, for the highest density of white marble-clad buildings, with 543 structures covering 4.5 million square metres.

The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.

Held under the hundred-year custody term. Nothing accessioned is edited or deleted; corrections are appended to the record and dated.
