People walk east across the bridge deck and its granite approach, and the Fernsehturm rises behind the buildings ahead. A bridge has crossed the Spree at this point since 1703, and the crossing is a protected monument. The present pedestrian and cycle bridge was built between 1981 and 1982. The Fernsehturm, completed on 3 October 1969, is 368 m tall and is the tallest structure in Germany.

The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
