Pedestrians On The Jan-Fedder-Promenade
HAMBURG, GERMANY · 06 Sep 2026 · TWELVE SECONDS
People walk across a wide stone-paved promenade, with a steel-framed elevated railway viaduct running behind them and a red brick tower with a green spire and clock beyond it. The promenade is a flood-protection structure along the Elbe between Landungsbrücken and Baumwall stations. It was built after the 1962 storm surge and rebuilt between 2010 and 2019. It has carried its current name since January 2022, after the Hamburg actor Jan Fedder.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
