Rickmer Rickmers At The Landungsbrücken
HAMBURG, GERMANY · 06 Sep 2026 · TWELVE SECONDS
Pedestrians cross the paved harbour promenade while a seated musician plays an accordion on a bench; behind them the three masts and green steel hull of the Rickmer Rickmers stand against overcast sky, with container cranes on the far bank. The ship was launched in August 1896 at the Rickmers shipyard in Bremerhaven as a steel full-rigged sailing ship. It has lain at the St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken as a museum ship since 1983.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
