Altes Museum From The Lustgarten
BERLIN, GERMANY · 02 Sep 2026 · TWELVE SECONDS
People walk along a paved path across the Lustgarten lawn toward the columned front of the Altes Museum, while others sit on the wide steps beside a large stone bowl. The building was constructed between 1825 and 1830 to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, ordered by King Frederick William III of Prussia. The granite bowl in front of the stairs was originally meant for the museum rotunda but proved too large and was installed outside. UNESCO added Museum Island to the World Heritage list in December 1999.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
