A tram runs down the pedestrianised avenue while people walk across the rails embedded in the pale stone paving; a cyclist and a scooter rider move toward the camera. The cathedral's buttressed Gothic flank rises on the right behind street trees and lamp posts. UNESCO registered the cathedral in 1987 along with the Alcázar and the General Archive of the Indies. The MetroCentro tram line began operation on 28 October 2007.
