Lighted Arch, Paseo de la Princesa
SAN JUAN, UNITED STATES · 25 Dec 2024 · TWELVE SECONDS
Crowds walk in both directions along a wide paved promenade beneath an illuminated arch marked TURISMO, with lit palms and lamp posts on either side. The promenade opened in 1852–54 along the southern side of the walls of Old San Juan. La Princesa, built in 1837 as a city jail, stands on this promenade and now houses the headquarters of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
The archive does not edit, trim, or re-frame what it receives. The recording is the camera's own output; the archive's only interventions are cataloguing it and preparing a copy that will play.
